" Its trades 23 hours per day, and and has nice movements!" - Walter W.
Reply from Ken: Hi Walter — plus (and this is important for All traders, especially stock traders as well), knowing how to spot strong moves in the ES premarket and in-market can make a big impact on how you trade stocks, ETFs and the e-mini, because it helps improve your ability to spot signals in the way market internals do (like the VIX, TRIN, sectors).
Knowing how strongly the ES moves both premarket and in-market (plus how to use the new tape reading and other micro-patterns in candles, cups and b-bands) can help you decide how to enter and exit stocks in-market since it provides such keen directional bias to your trades. See you in the webinar.

"E~mini give me a picture of how the other assett classes are trending eg E~mini Futures, Currency Futures and Option futures thereby enhancing my overall trading performance." - Mark M.
Reply from Ken: Great point, Mark. Like the SPY/QQQ, using the ES/NQ/YM helps traders of all instruments know major trend "big picture" scope as well as inherent volatility (which is just as critical to success). As in reading other market internals (sector, TRIN, VIX), knowing how to read micro-patterns in the ES and other minis can help improve overall trading because it puts trades in context. Plus it's helpful in deciding how heavy or light to trade positions with position sizing, even for traders who aren't trading the ES. And it gives directional and volatility bias help for other trades, like you've pointed out. Thanks for the comment.

Reply from Ken: Hi Ricky, yes — in fact there's a handful of core trading e-mini strategies that are worth learning about that I use a number of indicators with in addition to candles, cups, tape reading and price action... such as Bollinger Bands, ATRs/(average trading ranges), micro-trend patterns and more. This is one solid foundation ES trading strategy to get everyone started with, to learn more about (cups/candles/tape reading).

"I would like to learn how to trade the Eminis from a real trader and not just from someone that markets fancy software" - Wayne B.
Reply from Ken: Hi Wayne, thanks -- good point. Don't waste money on overpriced proprietary unproven bs software peddled by non-traders. I don't sell software. I do train traders (at a bargain!), with pattern recognition skills so you can trade regardless of the chart software you use. I like to teach traders how to trade as a set of life skills, that's not dependent on any software, which is why I don't develop nor sell it. I agree with you.

"Hammer low, bear cup, inflection point, tape reading, trailing stop, all in 6 minutes. Thank you, Ken. Two questions: the triple leveraged ETFs (ERX, TNA, etc.) move a much greater percentage intraday than ES. So wouldn't it be more profitable to daytrade them? Or does the tax advantage of trading futures make trading ES the better choice?" - Mike A.
Reply from Ken: Hi Mike, smart question. The answer is dependent on the type of market we have; if it's a choppy narrow range market then right, scalping the ES is a lower-odds type of trading strategy than during brief, strong breakouts and breakdowns. During choppy sideways markets it's best to cherry pick strong ETFs/stocks that are outdoing the broad markets. During nice sharp moves though during the opening hour, many traders like trading the ES for a variety of reasons. I'll share more in the webinar. Another benefit of trading the e-minis is the focus you get from knowing the ranges and micro-breakout patterns for scalps, cup breakouts, candle patterns, b-band pivots and other patterns that work best, to capture strong moves during the opening hour.

"Great scalping technique and execution with a 1 minute chart and tape reading. It look easy. Just wish I could be as fast as Ken when trading." - Gill B.
Reply from Ken: Thanks, Gill — here's the completely annotated chart, to make the signals clear for everyone; simply looking for lows under the bear cup and loss of hammer support line near the 1295 for a sell signal, then buy back/long once you see 3 ticks over a hammer reversal, like this:
It's one of many specific trading setups I'll be teaching traders about in the years ahead at the site here with Emini University training.

"I've been wanting to learn how to day-trade the ESM...
I like Ken's dearth of indicators for e-mini trading - just candlesticks and "tape reading" (time and sales window reading)." - Perry B.
Reply from Ken: Hi Perry - thanks. Actually I use quite a few other specific signal setups beyond tape reading and candlesticks and cup patterns (like Bollinger Bands), and more... this is just a quick intro to one pattern I like to use. I originally published the industry's best article on tape reading back in 2002 in this popular Active Trader tape reading 2002 magazine article I wrote (this was for stocks).
FACT: I showed the active trading community how to use tape reading back in 2002 (see that article link for proof), long before many of my competitors were even in business (many emini educators didn't even have their sites online til just a few years ago...check out their credentials). Now I'm expanding into e-minis since many traders have asked for my help in this area.

"I'm using candles and support/resistance for trading the emini. How will this seminar differ from these?" - Jim S.
Reply from Ken: Hi Jim, for one thing you'll be learning how to use professional "Tape Reading" with eminis (I've been published on tape reading since the early 2000s in Active Trader magazine); using the tape tick-by-tick along with candles and s/r levels takes emini trading to a solid precision trading approach. Plus there's more of course, tape reading is just one of the tools that traders will be learning with me. Thanks for posting. And right re hammers and s/r levels are a great place to start; there's more that traders need to learn though.

"Id like to see how you handle the volitility within a bar.You get the direction right but youd still get stopped out with your 4 to 8 tick stop." - Simon T.
Reply from Ken: Hi Simon, good point — managing volatility within-candle (or bar) price action is one of the primary strategies I show traders to handle the right way... when to stay in, when to exit. Using the tape reading tactics along with market internals is the key; I'll share how that works in the webinar - thanks.

View these trader customer satisfaction testimonial videos taken from my live seminars, to show you how much traders
have valued my training for various trading topics over the years. THANKS to all who have worked with me... I appreciate it. Active trading is a high-risk, speculative activity that is not suitable for most people. It requires genuine skill and advanced training.
No profitability claims are being made; typical results are that all traders lose money and don't become profitable, since trading is speculative.

Past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results. Commission Rule 4.41(b)(1)(I) hypothetical or simulated performance results have certain inherent limitations. Unlike an actual performance record, simulated results do not represent actual trading. Also, since the trades have not actually been executed, the results may have under- or over-compensated for the impact, if any, of certain market factors, such as lack of liquidity. Simulated trading programs in general are also subject to the fact that they are designed with the benefit of hindsight. ONE OF THE LIMITATIONS OF HYPOTHETICAL PERFORMANCE RESULTS IS THAT THEY ARE GENERALLY PREPARED WITH THE BENEFIT OF HINDSIGHT. IN ADDITION, HYPOTHETICAL TRADING DOES NOT INVOLVE FINANCIAL RISK, AND NO HYPOTHETICAL TRADING RECORD CAN COMPLETELY ACCOUNT FOR THE IMPACT OF FINANCIAL RISK IN ACTUAL TRADING. FOR EXAMPLE, THE ABILITY TO WITHSTAND LOSSES OR TO ADHERE TO A PARTICULAR TRADING PROGRAM IN SPITE OF TRADING LOSSES ARE MATERIAL POINTS WHICH CAN ALSO ADVERSELY AFFECT ACTUAL TRADING RESULTS. THERE ARE NUMEROUS OTHER FACTORS RELATED TO MARKETS IN GENERAL OR TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF ANY SPECIFIC TRADING PROGRAM WHICH CANNOT BE FULLY ACCOUNTED FOR IN THE PREPARATION OF HYPOTHETICAL PERFORMANCE RESULTS AND ALL OF WHICH CAN ADVERSELY AFFECT ACTUAL TRADING RESULTS.
